House KB to build energy efficient of all homes in San Antonio

KB Home and build San Antonio green work to introduce more energy-efficient homes in the city.

Started December 1, all the houses built by KB Home in San Antonio will be certified BSAG. This House is that at least 15 percent more energy efficient than the standard requirements of the municipal code. BSAG’s certification requirements including energy and water efficiency and indoor air quality.

National Homebuilder and non-profit organizations also rolled out the first zero-energy House KB net-home, dubbed the ZeroHouse 2.0, in San Antonio.

Homebuyers that combines the design of the ZeroHouse 2.0 into their homes may be able to eliminate the monthly electricity costs fully. These houses have increased insulation, HVAC system upgrades and dual-plane windows. Solar panels were also built on the roof.
