    With our children out of school for the Christmas period we sometimes need something to fill their spare time. Instead of going out and wasting money and gas in an activity, stay at home and do Christmas crafts. This is a great family time. You and your child will share many laughs and stories during craft time. Here are some great ideas for quick and easy Christmas themed crafts.

    Candy

    Making Cane Christmas Card cards can be fun and will let your kids express their creativity. If you have a candy cane at home, try making candy cane card. For this activity, you must individually wrapped candy sticks, cardboard, glue, and anything else your child may want to decorate the card. Stickers, cotton, and markers are great things to add decorations to your cards. Encourage your child to make a Christmas greeting intelligent and creative. They can make cards for each family member or someone else to give at Christmas day. Tree Place Cards

    Have your children make creative place setting for Christmas dinner. You will need green construction paper, markers, glue and scissors. As always if you have things such as snow or cotton to make a special neon acrylics or markers, this will make the arrangements seem a better place. Fold construction paper in half and draw a line of trees. Cutting the tree line so there are two points connected with them. Fold the bottom under a tree, about ½ inch, so it will stand. Let your child write the name of family members in place of cards and Christmas cards decorate the tree. When Christmas dinner, they will be proud to display their work for the family. Elf Door

    Create little imagination your child to make the elves came in through the front door or doors. This story is that the elves help more than ever to help Santa deliver the big prize.     You will require a sturdy cardboard box to create a door, paint the bottle cap, and cork for the handles and other things to decorate the door. Cut into the cardboard box and paint the door.
